SUMMARY
The Client Services Consultant is the primary operational contact for our Educational Partners and is responsible for the overall consultation and operations management of the eCollege/Educational Partner relationship. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma required, Bachelors degree in Computer Science preferred with five (5) to eight (8) years end user web experience and five (5) years or more testing experience or equivalent education and experience to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

The Software Development group produces working software from business and non-functional requirements. This process includes helping identify candidate architectures, producing highly scalable and extensible designs, implementing code and conducting unit and performance-based tests.
SUMMARY
The Product Architect is responsible for balancing the concerns of implementation, requirements, and long-term needs in the creation of software systems. This individual leads and supports the architecture and design efforts of multiple project development teams. Core activities of the role include determining non-functional needs, modeling and evaluating candidate architectural solutions, and negotiating design trade-offs with stakeholders and engineers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Acts as subject matter expert in software design; creates architecture and design artifacts using UML
•Analyzes requirements to help define project scope, system interfaces, subsystems, and integration dependencies
•Facilitates requirements decisions, especially those involving non-functional goals or constraints
•Takes ownership of technical challenges to drive toward effective solutions
•Assumes a stakeholder-facing role to determine architectural priorities for a particular system
•Leads system design meetings; mentors developers in modeling and the application of patterns & practices
•Leads code reviews to insure quality of code, standards compliance, requirements coverage, and for skills assessment
•Writes code for proof-of-concepts, reusable components, application frameworks, and complete systems
•Identifies/creates candidate architectures to address functional and non-functional requirements
•Evaluates non-functional design trade-offs; works with stakeholders to ensure trade-off decisions are well-informed and aligned with business goals
•Serves on special-purpose architectural committees as needed, to support cross-cutting architectural concerns at the application and platform levels

MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Includes people, process or functions.
This position has no operational management responsibilities over people. However, the architect may have occasionally responsibility to lead and / or mentor software engineering personnel in a system development effort. The architect will assist with the implementation of development standards and practices.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelors degree in Computer Science or MIS preferred and six (6) to eight (8) years experience developing enterprise applications and software products, with significant experience in a role leading software design decisions; or equivalent education and experience to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
